2017 Robot Games Ireland Tournament ...

The organisers are using a new method of registration for the EA Robot Games Ireland Mini Sumo tournament this year using the CHALLONGE! website.
Instructions:
- For robots built by teams of two or more please create just one account. The account details can be shared between team mates if necessary.
- Initially select the'Create an account' option.
- Then create a username/password.
- NOTE: the username selected will be your competition 'name' so you can either choose a robot name OR an alias OR use your own name etc.....but whatever you choose will be the name called out repeatedly by the MC on the day ! - Usually people use a 'robot name'.
- NOTE: Names that may cause offence will not be allowed.
- Finally, select the (+00:00 Dublin) timezone option.
- Once registered, you can see who you will be competing against as the tournament fills up.
- The bracket will be randomised periodically to minimise the possibility of robots from the same school meeting initially.
- NOTE: If you discover closer to the event that your robot will not be able to compete please remove it from the tournament - which will then automatically update.

New Open Tournament
Students wishing to enter the new Open Tournament should use the following link: Open Tournamnet ..
Robots entering this ‘Open’ tournament can use any type of control board (e.g. Arduino/Raspberry Pi etc) , any type of drive system
with any type/capacity motors and any sensors without restriction as long as they do not damage their opponent.
Other than that, all other rules still apply.

As before, it is a double elimination tournament where you must be beaten twice in order to be knocked out.

Line Follower Competition
Students
wishing to enter the Line Follower Competition can do so at the actual tournament in the Radisson Hotel in Galway on Tuesday 16th May.
Every entrant will have the opportunity to have at least two timed runs or one or both of the GP and F1 courses with their best time being recorded.
