Engineering Technology
Core Elements
 

Students study all elements in the core.  The core consists of practical and theoretical elements at an introductory level and is intended as a general introduction to engineering principles and techniques.  Emphasis is placed on problem solving, research and design, manufacture of artifacts, health and safety. The core areas of study are:  

  • Health and Safety
  • Manufacturing Techniques and Technology
  • Material Science
  • Drawing and Design
  • Computer Aided Processes (CAD/CAM)
  • Power and Energy
  • Electronics
  • Mechanisms
  • Pneumatics
